Mandai x Strait Lights - Strawhead Bulbul Bracelet

The straw-headed bulbul is a Critically Endangered songbird, prized for its song so beautiful it has driven it to the edge of extinction through illegal trapping for the caged bird trade.

The species is already extinct in Thailand and parts of Indonesia. Yet Singapore has become its unexpected sanctuary housing more straw headed bulbuls than anywhere else on the planet, thanks to decades of conservation effart.

To hear one sing is to witness something rare. This bracelet is a tribute to their resilience and to Singapore's role in saving their song.
