Mandai x Strait Lights - Malayan Tiger Bracelet
In Malay Peninsula folklore, the tiger, harimau, was both feared and revered. Seen as a guardian of the forest and a carrier of ancestral spirits. tigers represented raw power held in balance with nature. Crossing the Strait of Johor in the 1800s tigers once roamed Singapore, before disappearing by the 1950s.
Critically endangered, today there are fewer than 150 Malayan tigers in the wild making Mandal's tigers a vital reminder of what's at stake.
To wear this bracelet is to carry their spirit and story.
