Description

Capturing the semi-aquatic spirit of Kakna the capybara, The Mandai x Extra Noodles Kakna Tee brings dynamic motion and organic detail to this collaboration.

To showcase the capybara’s effortless transition between land and water, designers Skyy and Esther hand-drew Kakna looking as if he just stepped out of the river. The texture of the fur is meticulously rendered to appear wet and stranded together, giving it a raw, almost spiky aesthetic. Instead of relying on flat browns, the artwork utilizes a blend of rich earth-tone strokes to recreate the natural light reflections dancing off damp fur.
Breaking away from traditional graphic placement, Kakna is uniquely positioned high on the side of the tee. This clever layout creates an interactive illusion—making it look as though the capybara is actively crawling out from under the sleeve, bringing real motion and life to the garment.
